Mando Footloose combines freedom of moving with high- end automotive technology and
offers a new kind of mobility lifestyle.
Based on the latest technology in the
automotive industry, the automotive
parts supplier Mando Corp. in Korea
has developed an e-bike which is
significantly different from anything else

One of the high-end
integrated into the Mando
Footloose is a system which
consists of the electronic
control unit (ECU), sensors, and
software. The electronic control system
enables a secure driving through
sensors and automatic gear changer
to monitor inclinations and adjust the
motor gear state as necessary.
Additionally, it monitors the bike
state and shows it on HMI display.
The HMI also shows the distance,
speed and battery state. Once the
HMI is dismounted from the handle, it
functions as a security device as the
bike won’t go without.
For the product design, Mando
collaborated with Mark Sanders
who was already well-known for his
innovative bike design. Coming from an
engineering background the designer
saw a new challenge in the ‘Chainless
Bike’. With ‘elegance’ as his motto,
Mark Sanders created together with
Mando a new kind of a vehicle with a
smooth and clean exterior that is filled
with high-end technology inside.
Mando Footloose is an innovative
urban mobility; No chain, but with
design and automobile know-how.
