Riding with a new chain feels so good.
It is like putting on a fresh pair of legs.
If you have waited too long to replace
your chain, you may have to replace your
crankset’s chainrings and cassette’s
cogs or you will experience random skipping of your drivetrain. Still, a fresh drivetrain is a performance-worthy upgrade.
UPGRADES TO PUT OFF
HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES
We are not talking about upgrading
to a lighter disc brake or a brake that
offers power for your riding style. We are
talking about riders who want to replace
their cantilever brakes with mechanical or hydraulic disc brakes. Don’t get
us wrong; the upgrade would be a big
performance enhancement, but it just
doesn’t pencil out money-wise. And,
if your frame is not optimized for disc
brakes, the performance increase might
not be that great anyway.
